ABOUT ME

I am a practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy in Columbia, Missouri. Currently I work for Mizzou Therapy Services at the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute. My area of expertise is in research and rehabilitation of the shoulder, elbow and hip joints, with special interest in overhead athletes from youth to professional leagues. I work closely with our Sports Medicine physicians and surgeons, treating a wide range of post-operative and non-operative orthopaedic conditions.

I received a Bachelor's degree in Health Science in 2007 and Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2010.  Since that time, I have contributed to the development of multiple shoulder and knee protocols, patient education programs and pre-operative materials, and coordinated a pitching clinic for injured throwers.  My first claim-to-fame (a post-operative shoulder labral repair protocol and shoulder return to sport protocol) were recently published in 2017 (see publications).  My expertise in shoulder and elbow conditions led to the development and teaching of my very own continuing education course for therapists and athletic trainers- Advanced Concepts in Rehabilitation of the Upper Extremity. In 2018, I was honored to be accepted into the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists and the European Society for Shoulder and Elbow Rehabilitation.
